Comic books are fun, colourful and always have been our favorites. But have you even pondered upon how they have been so integral parts of shaping our personalities and ideas? Comic books may have whimsical stories but there is a deep meaning hidden behind these stories. These 6 comics are not only a delight to read but also teach some valuable life lessons.

#1 Calvin and Hobbes

They taught us tonnes of life lessons, tips, tricks and truths. Take for example these two-

#2 Persepolis

This one, by Marjane Satrapi is about life amidst the chaotic Iranian Revolution. Her books will change your thoughts regarding Iran and will help you see the nation from a different perspective.

#3 Winnie the Pooh

This comic taught us the most about love, friendship, family and belonging. It taught us how you don’t have to be alike to be friends and family is not just about lineage and blood.

#4 Tintin

Along with Snowy, Captain Haddock, Professors, Scientists and villains and exotic destinations Tintin unfolds to you a life of adrenaline rush. Tintin teaches you to use your cerebral gifts for a good cause. Tintin helps you realize that you need no one but the urge within you to explore the world. We must not fear the unknown.

#5 Spiderman

If it wasn’t for Aunt May, Peter Parker may not have become a superhero. The most famous quote, “With great power, comes great responsibility,” teaches the most important life lesson. Whether you are a student politician or an employee, you have a certain power and you must be feel responsible.

#6 Deadpool

The guy who stumbled upon the superhero franchise, never really agreed to the concept of superheroes. Deadpool’s life can be taken to be similar to any normal person’s life with problems and all of it changes when he enters into the world of superheroes. This anti-hero is adorable and is in the end a good person who, no matter how much he keeps away from the superhero-ism ends up being a hero in our hearts. Go chimichangas!
