Your eyes say a lot about your personality but the area below the eyes gives away your lifestyle and habit secrets. We all envy those who have no dark circles. A dark circle is a dark patch that can form around a person’s eyes. It can happen to both men and women of all ages. Dark circles can occur due to lack of sleep, stress, unhealthy lifestyle and even due to heredity. Don’t take dark circles for granted. These natural ways can help reduce dark circle.
Tomatoes have skin lightening properties and therefore it works great for the dark circles. Mix 1 teaspoon of tomato pulp and 1 teaspoon of lemon and apply this on the dark patches. Leave it for some time and then rinse it off. Do this every day to get good results.
Almond oil is very effective for the delicate skin around the eye, where dark patches are observed. Apply almond oil under your eyes regularly to treat the dark circles and to eventually get rid of them.
Rose water has many incredible properties which makes it one of the best skin care product. Rose water has a really soothing effect on the eyes. Soak cotton pads and keep them over your eyes for 15 minutes. Do this every day to get rid of the dark circles.
Cold milk also has a soothing effect on your tired eyes. Dip some cotton in cold milk and put the cotton over your eyes. Keep it for some time before washing it off. With prolonged usage, you can get rid of this dark patches.
Cucumber has excellent soothing properties and it also works as an astringent. Put thin slices of cucumber upon your eyes. Keep it from 10 minutes and then take it off. Another way to use cucumber is to mix one teaspoon of cucumber juice with one teaspoon of lemon juice and apply this with the help of cotton on your dark circles.
Massage the skin around your eyes. Not only will it remove your dark circles, it will also keep your delicate skin hydrated. It will also prevent wrinkles and dark spots.
Tea has caffeine and antioxidants which help in reducing dark circles and reduce the puffiness around the eye region by reducing fluid retention. Put 2 bags of used green or black tea in the refrigerator. Place them over your eyes for 15minutes. Let the cool tea bags calm your blood vessels. After that remove them and rinse your face.
Grate a few potatoes and squeeze out the juice. Put this juice on your eyelids and under your eyes using a cotton ball. Let it sit there for ten minutes and then wash it off. This can reduce the dark circles to a great extent.
Turmeric has some great medicinal properties which can cure dark circles. Mix 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder with 1 teaspoon of pineapple juice and apply this mixture on the affected region. Keep it for 10 minutes and then wash it off.
Yoga and meditation
One the main reason of dark circles is stress and depression in our life. While the above remedies can help reduce the dark circle; these can not stop dark circles. Regularly do yoga and meditation to get rid of dark circles.
